Summary edit

Description Spain Spain, coast of Fuerteventura near Ajuy. In the cliff, deep-sea sedimentary rocks, of Jurassic age, are overlain by shallow-sea limestone of Pliocene age (about 5 million years old). Between these two rock units is an unconformity. Above the limestone is a lava flow, also of Pliocene age, which has pillow lava at its base.
