Accession: 2013.063.001 Life Preserver Vest 23"L X 4,25"H

Life preserver worn by William Newman during the Battle of Savo Island on board the USS Vincennes. The Battle of Savo Island was the first major naval engagement of the Guadalcanal campaign on August 8th-9th 1942.
