Description SAVANNAH, Ga. – Col. Jeff Hall, commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District, presents Alan Bugg with the 2013 Supervisor of the Year Award, July 12, 2013. As the area engineer for the Fort Benning Office, Alan's belief in teamwork, collaboration, and recognition of hard work has created strong relationships among those he reaches. He encourages teams to solve issues at the lowest level possible, but is always there to assist in the fast-tracking, time sensitive issues. Alan created a new Building Construction Certificate program which includes three Master’s certificates focusing on construction management and business that fill the gap in knowledge of our future leaders. Alan has volunteered a significant amount of time to professional organizations and assisting our soldiers and veterans. Alan and his team recently volunteered to renovate a home for a military veteran in the Columbus, Ga., area through House of Heroes. He also assisted in the creation of the Veterans-2-Construction program, which strives to reduce unemployment for separating veterans by helping them find careers in the construction industry.
