Description SAVANNAH, Ga. – Col. Jeff Hall, commander of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Savannah District, presents Dennis Lynn with the 2013 Team Member of the Year Award for an employee in a field other than engineering and science, July 12, 2013. A member of the navigation maintenance branch, Dennis has been instrumental in leading the successful completion of dredging within the Savannah inner harbor, working within the significant constraints of several environmental windows. He also undertook the additional projects, duties, and tasks of the Disposal Area Team while the team leader was deployed. Under Dennis' direct management of the Agitation dredging program, contractors removed 370,000 cubic yards of material from the harbor-users berth, resulting in $680,000 returned to the District. Dennis demonstrates exceptional leadership and encourages team members to learn the technical aspects and changing contractual requirements necessary to deliver quality products.
