Description
Nederlands: Detail van het Sint-Jacobsaltaar in de Sint-Jacobskerk (église Saint-Jacques) in Luik, België. Het altaar werd in 1602 door abt Franchon van de Sint-Jacobsabdij geïnstalleerd als onderdeel van het renaissance-doksaal, dat waarschijnlijk werd gebouwd door Thomas Tollet, een schoonzoon van Lambert Lombard. Het doksaal werd in 1751 afgebroken. Alleen een tweetal altaren resteert. Ze bestaan uit zwarte en rode gepolijste kalksteen, dat op marmer lijkt. De beelden en reliëfs zijn van albast. Het beeld in de rechter nis van het Sint-Jacobsaltaar toont koning David (met harp).
