Summary edit

Description
English: Passing from Tobermory Harbour into the open waters of Lake Huron aboard the Tobermory Frontier at Fathom Five National Marine Park in Ontario, Canada. Fathom Five was established by Parks Canada in 1987 as the first of what are now four National Marine Conservation Areas of Canada. This 44-square-mile expanse of Lake Huron serves to protect not only a delicate marine ecosystem that includes several rare species of orchid and fern, but also a unique landscape of dolomite rock eroded into sea stacks popularly known as "flowerpots", as well as an array of nearly two dozen shipwrecks that make the park one of the world's topmost attractions for freshwater divers. Flowerpot Island, where not surprisingly most of the aforementioned sea stacks are found, is seen in the distance at left; it's the Tobermory Frontier's destination on this July 2015 morning. The mainland of the Bruce Peninsula lies to its right.
