Description
English: A view of what I believe to be Minnie (left) and Summerhill (right) Islands, part of the labyrinth of islets and waterways that make up the "Thirty Thousand Islands" of Georgian Bay, Ontario, Canada, as seen from aboard the Island Queen V during a July 2015 afternoon cruise. Strung along the bay's eastern edge, this world's largest freshwater archipelago (the number included in its popular moniker is approximately accurate) boasts a natural beauty that inspired Canada's early-20th century "Group of Seven" landscape painters, and a diverse array of habitats and interconnected ecosystems that led to its nomination in 2004 as a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve.
