Deutsch: Detail einer Wäschemangel als Standgerät (Standmangel), auch Wringer oder Kaltmangel genannt, hier das um das Jahr 1900 produzierte, seitlich in englischer Sprache benannte und offensichtlich für den Export bestimmte "Anchor Jubilee Mangle" (Anker Jubiläums-Mangel) der Firma Herm. Bullerdieck aus Hannover. Logo des Unternehmens war ein Anker, der Hinweis auf Hannover findet sich im dreiblättrigen Kleeblatt. Das Gerät wurde mit einer großen Schwungrad-Kurbel per Hand betrieben, die zwei hölzerne Rollen gegeneinander drehten. Von oben konnte der Druck mittels eines auf gebogene Stahlfedern wirkenden Gewindes verändert werden.
