Description2020-04-26 21-21MESZ Mondsichel.jpg |
English: Composed photograph of waxing crescent moon, taken with a Celestron 11 telescope.
Aa Celestron 11 telescope with an ASI290MM camera was used to capture videos of sections of the crescent. Each video contained about 5100 frames and covered a very small area on the moon only. To cover the entire moon, therefore, a panorama containing 21 views had to be constructed. The capturing process (steering the telescope and triggering the camera) was controlled automatically with the MoonPanoramaMaker software. The frames of each video were stacked using the PlanetarySystemStacker software. Both software products (MoonPanoramaMaker, de:PlanetarySystemStacker) were written by the author of the image. |
