Description
English: The Bradford Hotel is located in the Fort Myers Commercial District now known as the Fort Myers Downtown Historical District. The Bradford Hotel was built by Harvie E. Heitman and financed by Tootsie McGregor, widow of Ambrose McGregor. The hotel was named for the McGregor 's deceased son. It is located at the corner of First and Hendry Streets and occupies the entire block. The Bradford originally had forty-one rooms and was opened November 12, 1905. The Bradford's upper floors have been converted to condominiums. The ground floor houses a variety of shops and businesses including the Iberia Bank and the restored 1915 era ex-vaudeville Arcade Theater, now the Florida Repertory Theater..
