| Description |
Nederlands: Vijver en vervallen brug in het park van Villa Kanjel (ofwel La Petite Suisse) in de buurtschap Mariënwaard in Maastricht. De villa werd omstreeks 1880 verbouwd in opdracht van Mimi Regout, oudste dochter van de industrieel Petrus (I) Regout, naar een ontwerp van de Akense architect Wilhelm Wickop. Het oorspronkelijke parkontwerp is van de Belgische tuinarchitect Jean Gindra, maar is later sterk vereenvoudigd en daarna lang verwaarloosd. De villa wordt anno 2021 verbouwd tot familiehotel. In het voormalige koetshuis is een uitspanning gevestigd. Het park wordt eveneens hersteld en zal openbaar worden. De waterpartijen worden gevoed door de Kanjelbeek. |
