AAR Participates in Counter-Landing Live Fire Exercise

Description
English: The Army Artillery Regiment (AAR) participated in the Counter-Landing Live Fire Exercise (LFX) utilizing Towed and Self-Propelled Howitzers as Part of the PH-US Combined Exercise Balikatan 2024 held in Sand Dunes, La Paz, Laoag City, Ilocos Norte on May 6, 2024.

In this Year’s Balikatan Exercise Scenario, the Howitzer Platoons of Bravo Battery, 5th Field Artillery Battalion (5FAB) and 3rd Self-Propelled Battery, 10th Field Artillery Battalion (10FAB) together with the firing Units of the Philippine Marine Corps (PMC) and US Army Pacific (USARPAC) simulated the Conduct of Combined and Joint Counter-Landing Operations to repel Hostile Forces from establishing themselves in the Country’s Territory.

The Counter-Landing Exercise is a crucial Component of Balikatan designed to increase interoperability of the Philippine and US Armed Forces in support of the Territorial Defense of the Philippines.
