Description
Nederlands: Deel van de eerste, 13e-eeuwse stadsmuur in Maastricht. Het muurdeel tussen Klein Grachtje en Looiersgracht, is nog vrij goed bewaard gebleven. De veldzijde was jarenlang aan het oog onttrokken. Door de ontwikkeling van het woonbuurtje Looiershof is deze sinds circa 2018 weer zichtbaar. Bij de Looiersgracht (links) sluite twee muurdelen sluiten op elkaar aan met een scherpe hoek (< 90°), wat vrij ongebruikelijk is bij middeleeuwse stadsmuren. Op de achtergrond het voormalig Protestants Weeshuis, thans Toneelacademie Maastricht.
