Description 208-PU-52-P-6: Doenitz “Government” Rounded Up. On the morning of May 23rd, all members of the self-styled acting German Government, and all remaining members of the German High Command, were arrested. About 300 officers and an unstated number of civilians and other ranks were taken into custody. The arrest took place at Muivik, a few miles from Flensburg. Shown: Inside the plane which flew the Germans to England, Admiral Doenitz can be seen at the fare end of the left.
