Sakano, Base Support Officer, 4th Division, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, works with Chief Warrant Officer Two River Mitchell of 38th Air Defense Artillery Brigade to coordinate the deployment of a Patriot minimum engagement package to Camp Fukuoka, Japan, during Orient Shield 22, Aug. 25, 2022. Orient Shield 22 is the largest U.S. Army and Japan Ground Self-Defense Force bilateral field training exercise being executed in various locations throughout Japan to enhance interoperability and test and refine multi-domain and cross-domain operations.
