Summary
editDescription2 Panama Canal Zone 2 of 13 (6643964479).jpg | These are photos and photo postcards of an early crossing of the Panama Canal. The ship is the S. S. Panama, the first excursion ship to go through the Panama Canal on Feb. 7, 1915. I do not know if these photos are from that first excursion or a later one. The canal opened on August 15, 1914. Most of the buildings still seem to be under construction. These appear to be the three Gatun locks. |
