Description 330-PS-1341 (USN 706235): The U.S. Navy demonstrates fire-fighting. A pumper truck sprays the blazing plane with a sudsy blanket of “foamite” used for smothering gasoline fires. Members of the crash, fire and rescue crew move in with hoses to play suds on “Fire-Eaters” who will rescue the dummy pilot. The rescuers are in the smoke on the wing of the fighter. Photograph released May 15, 1951. (6/16/2015).
