Description 330-PS-2147 (USMC A-43986): Marine Private First Class Stanley R. Christianson, who deliberately gave his life in a one-man stand at an outpost to halt a Communist drive and give warning to his platoon in Korea on September 29, 1950. The Medal of Honor, awarded him posthumously, was presented to his parents Mr. and Mrs. Simon Christianson on August 30, 1951, at Washington, D.C., by Secretary of the Navy Dan A. Kimball. Photograph released August 28, 1951. (6/2/2015).
