Description 330-PS-2792 (USN 708622). Air Controllers. The direction, in the air and on the ground, of airplane traffic is of prime and vital importance to an efficiently operating air base. This direction is supplied by Chief and Air Controlmen First Class Walter S. Coupe and Joseph Baszak. Chief Baszak and his co-worker, Coupe, are two of many enlisted men who formerly held a temporary commission during World War II. Former Lieutenant Junior Grade Baszak and former Ensign Coupe are subject to a call to flying duty at a moment’s notice and depending on the needs of their home base.
