Description 330-PSA-275-63-5: SUBROC weapons system was developed by the Naval Ordnance Laboratory, White Oak, Maryland, under management direction of the Bureau of Naval Weapons. The prime contractor was the Goodyear Aerospace Corporation, however four major subcontractors were part of the SUBROC Project: Librascope Division, General Precision, Inc. (Fire Control System); Airesearch Manufacturing Company of the Garrett Corporation (Auxiliary Power System); Thiokol Chemical Corporation (Manufacturing and Loading Propellant); and Aerospace Systems Division, General Precision, Inc.
