| Description | 35 Cooper Square (originally 391 Bowery), was owned in the early 1800s by Nicholas William Stuyvesant, great-grandson of Peter Stuyvesant. As of February 2011, the fate of the building is tenuous - it has been scheduled to be demolished, but preservationists are fighting to save it.
