English: Agents from the Border Patrol Tactical Unit (BORTAC) and Green Berets from 3rd Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne) clear a mock compound during a joint training that focused on direct action for missions that are time-sensitive in nature. - November 2020 at Davis-Monthan, AFB in Ariz. BORTAC and 3rd Bn, 3rd SFG(A) participated in the combined exchange training to enhance current tactics, techniques, and procedures for future operations.
BORTAC provides an immediate-response capability to emergent and high-risk incidents requiring specialized skills and tactics. BORTAC is unique in that it provides a global response capability; their primary mission to respond to terrorist threats of all types, anywhere in the world, to protect the nation's homeland.
