Description

I don't know why but type 4 locomotives based at Stratford shed were known by London train spotters as "Stratford Duffs?" The class 47s were easily recognised by having had their roofs painted white. One such example is seen here No. 47 255, on an up permanent way train in Deepcut cutting on the South Western main line.
