The kindest adjective i can apply to this new building in downtown Hillsboro, Oregon, is pedestrian (and all its synonyms). Couldn't the city require the builders, and ultimately the architects, to create something that adds beauty to the downtown Hillsboro area?

And, the workmanship leaves much to be desired. The concrete work and the brick work on the street level is well done. But (!) the materials and workmanship on the upper levels makes me cringe. The details in corners and the horrible drier vents makes me weep.

The concept of putting this type of building into the "center" of Hillsboro is great. But please give us something the we can point to with pride.
