Description A Class 91 electric locomotive of National Express East Coast draws to a halt at Platform 2 alongside brand new steam locomotive 60163 Tornado that has recently arrived at Platform 3, in Newcastle Central Station, during Tornado's third main line certification test run from York to Newcastle and back. The Class 91 is the modern day successor to the Peppercorn Class A1's hauling express trains on the East Coast Main Line between London and Scotland. After arriving into the station from the west (over the King Edward VII Bridge), she departed by reversing the train back the way she came, being scheduled to lay over at Tyne Yard before returning to York later that night. During this test run, Tornado's tender wore the National Express logo instead of the A1 Steam Locomotive Trust's web address www.a1steam.com.
