| Description | C-Tran's 7th Street Transit Center, in downtown Vancouver, Washington, on November 8, 1984. The transit center was brand new at this time, having opened on November 5, 1984 (replacing a cramped off-street loop located seven blocks to the north). Although this was a C-Tran facility, it was also served by TriMet route 5-Interstate (until 2004, when that route was replaced by MAX light rail within Oregon and by TriMet route 6 on its Vancouver section), and the articulated bus in the center of this view is TriMet bus 700, a 1981 Crown-Ikarus. On the left is C-Tran bus 2094, a 1976-built GMC T6H-4523A, and two Carpenter CBW 300 buses are visible to the left and right of the TriMet bus. Signage at the individual stops was still temporary at this time, the permanent signage being installed later. After almost 23 years of operation, the 7th Street Transit Center closed in fall 2007. |
