Description 80-G-207731: North African Campaign, September 17, 1943. Navy combat photographers in North Africa to film scenes following occupation of Bizerte, Tunisia. In the wreckage of the French naval base at Ferryville, near Bizerte, Gib Brush takes notes. This is what was left of a workshop bombed by Allied planes before the base was taken over from the Germans. U.S. Navy photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives. (2016/06/21).
