Description 80-G-49989: Potsdam Conference, 17 July – 2 August 1945. Between the more serious sessions of the “Big Three” conferences in Berlin, President Harry S. Truman in a visit to Premier Joesph Stalin’s residence inside the conference area, enjoys an amusing incident with mutual reactions. To the extreme right is Andrei A. Gromyko, Russian Ambassador to the U.S. Photograph received July 24, 1945. U.S. Navy Photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives. (2016/02/23).
