Description 80-G-55215: K-84 was the first U.S. blimp to operate on anti-submarine patrol from a South American base. The trip from Lakehurst, New Jersey, to Fortaleza was the longest ever made for a craft of this kind. She is shown taking off. Photographed by CPU 6, October 8-14, 1943. (4/28/2015).
