Description 860 Broadway, on the corner of East 17th Street on the north boundary of Union Square in Manhattan, New York City was built in 1883-84 and was designed by Detlef Lienau in the late 19th-century commercial style. It extends through the block to 18th Street (#32-34). Originally called the Parish Building, it was later the Butler Building, and is located within the Ladies' Mile Historic District. (Source: "NYCLPC Ladies' Mile Historic District Designation Report, volume 2") 860 Broadway was the third location of Andy Warhol's "Factory".
