Description

Accession:88-2-A Pennant, Signal, Jewish Worship 32.75" H x 103" L

This was the first Jewish worship pennant flown at sea onboard the USS Mount Whitney LCC-20 on the 20th May 1978. The worship pennants are the only flags which may be flown above the National flag, and only during worship services by Navy chaplains at sea for personnel of the Navy. This pennant is an example of the first type with roman numerals. The pennant was retired from service on December 17th 1987.
