English: Name: Ashkelon Tomb of Sheikh Awad Description: The tomb of Sheikh Awad is at the top of the cliff on the Ashkelon promenade. According to Muslim belief, Sheikh Awad is buried there. The identity of the Sheikh is unknown, but there are various testimonies that he belonged to one of the most prominent families in Jerusalem.
