English: 971121-N-1434K-002 (November 21st, 1997) Northern Persian Gulf. . . .A Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat (RHIB), makes a pass by the U.S. Navy destroyer USS Benfold (DDG 65). The ship, home ported in San Diego, California , is currently deployed with the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68) battle group under the U.S. Navy’s Fifth Fleet. Benfold is currently conducting Multinational Maritime Interception Operations as part of the UN sanctions against Iraq.
