הערות: המרכז הרפואי שמיר הוא בית חולים בשטחה של באר יעקב. ב-1912 הקימו העות'מאנים בית חולים במחנה הצבאי סרפנד. בתום מלחמת העולם ה1, עברו בית החולים והמחנה לבריטים. בתקופת המנדט הבריטי שימש את חיל האוויר והצבא הבריטי. בית החולים נסגר ונתפס על ידי יחידות הפלמ"ח במאי 1948. ב 1949 העביר הצבא את בית החולים לידי משרד הבריאות והוא פועל כבית חולים ממשלתי. ב-1952 נקרא בית החולים על שם אסף בן ברכיהו שכתב את ספר הרפואה הישן ביותר. מ2017, שמו מרכז רפואי שמיר על שם יצחק שמיר. רבים קוראים לו עד עתה אסף הרופא.
