English: Name: Kibbutz Ilon Description: In the Kibbutz Ilon complex in the Upper Galilee עברית: שם: קיבוץ אילון תיאור: במתחם קיבוץ אילון שבגליל העליון הערות: המייסדים הגיעו מפתח תקווה ב 1938, והתיישבו במסגרת חומה ומגדל סמוך לגבול עם לבנון. השם ע"ש עץ האלון, רב התפוצה באזור. מייסדי הקיבוץ היו חברי גרעין ארצישראלי ב’ של השומר הצעיר וגרעין הכשרה של עולים מפולין. קק"ל והשומר הצעיר ניצלו את הנוכחות היהודית במקום להגברת ההתיישבות היהודית בגליל. השלטונות הבריטיים התנגדו והורו על פירוק היישוב. דוד הכהן שכנע את הבריטים כי לצורך הקמת הפילבוקסים לאורך הגדר יש צורך בחצץ, והמתיישבים הם הפועלים שיגרסו במקום חצץ במגרסה. הבריטים אישרו וקיבוץ אילון נשאר במקומו. מיקום: קיבוץ אילון קובץ מקורי: 20230209_143046_optimized.jpg |
