תיאור: תחנת רכבת בני ברק נקראה במקור תל אביב צפון ונחנכה בשנת 1954
הערות: עם קום מדינת ישראל לא היה קישור מסילתי מתל אביב צפונה אלא לכיוון לוד בלבד, דבר שמנע שירות רכבות בין תל אביב לצפון הארץ ובפרט לחיפה. המסילה הקרובה ביותר לצפון תל אביב הייתה מסילת הירקון שהסתעפה מהמסילה המזרחית ליד ראש העין והגיעה עד פתח תקווה. מסילה זו הוארכה בשנת 1949 בשבעה קילומטר נוספים לכיוון מערב לאורך נחל הירקון ובסופה נבנתה תחנת רכבת שנקראה "תל אביב צפון" (ויקיפדיה)
