Description

A U.S. Navy Douglas A-4C Skyhawk (BuNo 148562) from Attack Squadron 64 (VA-64) Black Lancers is launched from the aircraft carrier USS Independence (CVA-62). VA-64 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 7 (CVW-7) aboard the Independence for a deployment to the Mediterranean Sea from 30 April 1968 to 27 January 1969.

The A-4C 148562 was retired in 1974 and later sold to Argentina as A-4Q "C-305".
