Description A U.S. Navy Douglas A-4E Skyhawk (BuNo 152017) from Attack Squadron 23 (VA-23) "Black Knights" fires 70 mm (2.75 in) rockets at Viet Cong targets in South Vietnam. The pilot was Commander Robert R. King, commanding officer of VA-23. VA-23 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 2 (CVW-2) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Midway (CVA-41) for a deployment to Vietnam from 6 March to 23 November 1965.
