Description Close-up view of battle-damage on the wing of a U.S. Navy Grumman A-6E Intruder BuNo. 155620/AJ-503 of Attack Squadron VA-65 "Tigers" that landed Shaikh Isa, Bahrain, after a combat mission over Iraq during the 1991 Gulf War. VA-65 was assigned to Carrier Air Wing 8 (CVW-8) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN-71) for a deployment to the Indian Ocean from 28 December 1990 to 28 June 1991. It was being flown during Desert Storm by Jeff "Spooge" Martin and Don "DQ" Quinn in the right seat during a bomb run when the AAA hit the plane without detonating.
