Description
English: A U.S. Navy Ling-Temco-Vought A-7A Corsair II from Attack Aquadron 82 (VA-82) "Marauders" coming aboard aircraft carrier USS America (CVA-66), in 1968. VA-82 was assigned to Attack Carrier Air Wing 6 (CVW-6) aboard America for a deployment to Vietnam, including a World Curise, from 10 April to 16 December 1968.

This particular aircraft, Streetcar 307 (Streetcar being VA-82's radio callsign), BuNo 153258 was lost duel to fuel starvation over the Gulf of Tonkin on 31 May 1968. It was flying back after helping rescue assets over his leader (Streetcar 304), who was shot down over Laos on his first combat mission. AE-307 was replaced by by BuNo 153178.

Note: At NARA this aircraft is described as an A-7E landing aboard America in 1976.
