English: A9 Drumochter Pass A single carriageway section of the infamous A9 road linking Inverness with the South. Usually it is not as quiet as this, taking such a photo would involve being mown down by a caravan and the thirty odd vehicles stuck behind it.
Druim Uachdair itself is the range of hills (left) to the west of the pass. Photo taken at c.450m asl, normally there is a lot more snow about, and a few days earlier I had a very difficult crossing when the road was not gritted. |
