English: A U.S. Navy Douglas AD-5N Skyraider (BuNo 132528) from All-Weather Attack Squadron VA(AW)-35 Det.L "Night Hecklers" and an AD-5W from Airborne Early Warning Squadron VAW-11 Det.L "Early Eleven" in flight. Both squadron detachments were assigned to Carrier Air Group 21 (CVG-21) aboard the aircraft carrier USS Bon Homme Richard (CVA-31) for a deployment to the Western Pacific from 16 August 1956 to 28 February 1957. The AD-5N 132528 was later converted to an A-1G and served with the U.S. Air Force and South Vietnamese Air Force from 1965 to 1975. It was one of eleven Sykraiders that escaped to Thailand in April 1975. |
