English: Photo of the old brick buildings and other structures by the Fortress Square (Festningsplassen) at the Akershus Fortress military area in Oslo, Norway:
  • Grev Wedels Square, a street address for several buildings at Akershus, with cobblestone paving
  • Arsenal Caretaker's Residence (built in 1860)
  • The Main Arsenal (built in 1859):
    • Norwegian Armed Forces Museum
    • Two gray-painted cannons on gun carriages: The Armstrong 4-inch / 28-pound Position Gun M/1870 was a static artillery piece with a 4-inch bore and the ability to fire 28-pound shells. The union of Norway-Sweden purchased 12 of these cannons. It was designed by Sir William Armstrong and used for coastal defense, etc. and featured rifled barrels for improved accuracy and range.
