Nederlands: Kaart van de reis van Joan Nieuhoff van Canton naar Peking uit de Atlas van der Hagen, Koninklijke Bibliotheek, Den Haag Deel 4. Tussen 1655 en 1658 bezocht een handelsdelegatie van de Verenigde Oostindische Compagnie Peking met het doel om handelsrelaties aan te knopen met China. Een van de deelnemers aan deze reis was de Amsterdamse wereldreiziger Johan Nieuhoff. Na terugkomst publiceerde zijn belevenissen in een rijk geïllustreerd reisverslag. Bij dat boek behoorde ook deze kaart waarop de reisroute van het gezantschap door China is afgebeeld.
English: Map of the journey of Joan Nieuhoff from Canton to Peking, taken from the Atlas van der Hagen, Koninklijke Bibliotheek, The Hague, Part 4. A trade delegation from the Dutch East India Company visited Peking between 1655 and 1658, with the aim of establishing trade relations with China. Among the delegation was the Amsterdam-based globetrotter, Johan Nieuhoff. On his return he published his experiences in the form of a richly illustrated travel journal. This map, depicting the route taken by the trade delegation on its travels through China, was also included in the journal.
