The internationalorganizations show, it is true, the greatest loss in members, but the combinedmembership in Canada of the 92 international bodies operating in the Dominionrepresented at the close of 1922 approximately 74 per cent of the total of allclasses of workers organized under trade union auspices. The non-internationalorganizations, though showing a gain of eight branches, sustained a decrease inmembers of 1,507. The reported membership of 19 of the 25 independent unitswas 9,063, a decrease in members of 6,581 and a loss in units of 2. The mem-bership of the national and Catholic unions, as reported by the Federation ofCatholic Workers and local Catholic unions not connected with the Federation, a DEPARTMENT OF LABolR shows a decrease in members of 6,665 and in unions of 14.
