Français : Vue de l'aval de la rivière la "Lys" au niveau du pont de Nieppe. Usine bombardée durant la 1ère Guerre Mondiale.


En comparaison avec d'autres photos prises autour du pont de Nieppe (éponyme du quartier du Pont de Nieppe), l'usine textile se trouve sur le territoire de Nieppe, ville située sur la rive gauche de la Lys. Une autre photo sur Commons Wikmédia montre ce bâtiment constitutif d'un ensemble industriel plus important à travers le pont détruit durant la 1ère Guerre Mondiale (Ets Charles Jeanson, dirigés par Louis Jeanson*, avant et pendant la 1ère G.M). - Voir Autres versions -. Avant la Grande Guerre ce bâtiment n'était pas visible du pont, soit caché par des arbres, soit construit peu de temps avant la Grande Guerre à la place d'une partie d'une construction à toit de sheds plus basse que l'ensemble du bâti voir : https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Armenti%C3%A8res_%E2%80%94_La_Lys_au_Pont_de_Nieppe_%E2%80%94.jpg
