Cliché pris sur de la rive gauche de la rivière La Lys, soit sur le territoire de Nieppe ; à droite, Armentières. En arrière plan au niveau du chemin de halage, on aperçoit la cheminée de l'usine de textile Charles Jeanson. À droite, octroi et tavernes.
