| Description | An 1980 test and research vehicle by Volkswagen. It was built for aerodynamic research and investigation of the connection between body shape and fuel consumtion at high speeds. It also broke the record for the fastest diesel powered car. It used an inproved 175 hp six cylinder diesel engine with 2386 cc capacity and a standard gearbox. The top speed recorded was 362 km/h. |
