This program was also heavily influenced by American colleges and offered as dual degree in audiology and speech and language pathology. The education programs are very rigorous and demanding. The majority of our PGs and UGs are employed in India and other countries like United States, Australia, United Kingdom, and Middle East countries. BASLP is a dual Bachelor degree program in paramedical stream and is of four years duration, which includes one-year internship. The program is affiliated to the University of Calicut and recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI). There is very high demand for qualified audiologists and speech pathologists in and out of India Programme Structure In 1 Semester: Speech, Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology, Electronics and Acoustics In II Semester: Audiology, Psychology, Linguistics, Phonetics and Genetics. In III Semester: Audiology, Articulation disorders, voice disorders, ENT, Pediatrics & Neurology. In IV Semester: Prosodic disorders, Management of orally handicapped, psychology, statistics and Research methodology. In V Semester: Neurogenic Speech Disorders, Child language Disorders, hearing aids, noise. In VI Semester: Pediatric Audiology, Aphasiology, Clinical Psychology and Cognitive Neuroscience. Practical sessions in Audiology and Speech language pathology will be interwoven along with theory classes throughout the course. No. of seats - Annual intake permitted is 25 |
