A Himalayan Gaddi Shepherd taking a quick break from shepherding

Summary edit

Description
English: The Gaddis are a nomadic, semi pastoralist tribe usually residing in the northern hill ranges of Himachal Pradesh. Most of them consider shepherding as their dharma given to them by lord shiva who they consider as their principal deity. Gaddi men are a common sight on hill slopes, tops and roads as they cross hills, descend to various valleys, taking up temporary shelters while they walk their herd of sheep for grazing during various seasons of the year.
